“ The food was out of this world and served promptly. I would highly recommend the soft shell crab. The staff were very warm, welcoming and professional. My partner was very much looking forward to a cheese platter following our meal and I was undecided but fancied something sweet. Our only gripe was how long we waited after the dessert menu was presented to us, eventually we decided to sit outside for over 20 minutes and then the moment had gone and decided to go home instead of staying for anything following our main meal. We will definitely return as I can honestly say this was one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time, thank you chef. ”

“ Called in at The Hanger while walking in the area and looking for somewhere to stop in with our dogs Immediately upon arriving we were made to feel welcomed, reassured that our dogs (although a little mucky) were welcome, and shown to a seat in the bar area. Our drink orders were taken immediately and food menus supplied. The waitress was the perfect balance of attentive without being overbearing and seemed to know the menu very well, offering her recommendations when we were unsure. The food was absolutely incredible, both myself and my Mum had the soup of the day (nettle and potato) and I'd be hard pressed to think of a soup I've had out that's nicer. I then had the spectacular steak and ale pie, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Definitely worth calling in on the way past, and we will be coming again (even if it means travelling to do so) ”

The food is always very special, with traditional favourites cooked perfectly and always with a different twist and the cocktail menu is changed with each season and the choice is always varied and superb. Clare, Fran, Paige, Chloe and the rest of the team provide the level of service that's difficult to achieve, attentive but relaxed whether there are two of us having a quick dinner on the way home from work or a big party of colleagues having a celebration. ”
